Where have you been?

HA! I started this blog as an idea in 2007. Where did the time go? I could make a bunch of excuses, but how about we just agree that I did not prioritize it!!

I have recently changed to a new home business company, and have also been quite busy on several personal and family projects as well. More on that later!

What a breath of fresh air it is to have your own home based relationship marketing business!

Opening Statements

So let me start by saying that I work full-time from home and that I operate a home-based business. I know that there are some very mixed feelings about this, but it is something that I am very passionate about.

You either love or hate me and my kind, but I would like to use this forum to shed some light in what is perceived as a very negative profession. So I will be posting my thoughts and opinions with the hopes of doing two things:

(1) I hope that I can find a few kindred spirits out there.
(2) I hope to shed some light on the subject for those of you who do not understand what we do.

So buckle in. Put your thinking cap on and prepare for an exciting look into the home-based business industry.

Ground rules:

Please do not take this as a forum for brash comments about how "your brother's uncle's cousin got in one of those things and they don't work." That fact is that direct selling companies DO work, and are filled with happy, compassionate people that honestly want to help you. Conversely, there are quite a few apples out there that.... well, you know the rest. I have run into those bad apples and I dismiss them as egotistical and generally as people who see the glass as half-empty, regardless of what they claim to believe philosophically.

Here, I will define everybody as "good and bad" by two schools of thought. "Good" people see the universe as fundamentally abundant, and that there is more than enough for all of us. If you think like this, or generally agree with that philosophy, you are one of the "good guys". "Bad" people see the universe as fundamentally depleted, and believe that you must scratch and claw and cheat to get ahead. You think like that, and you are obviously one of the "bad guys".

I reserve the right to edit, censor or completely delete the posts of anyone that is obviuosly one of the bad guys, because I am one of the good guys! So keep your flaming posts away from here and go get your Jerry Springer fix somewhere else!

I am open to discussion on any topic that relates to the home-based business profession and it's practical existence. I would love to take suggestions as to any thread you would have me opine upon, as I am flush for opinions, and am notorious for speaking quite frankly.

I want to thank you in advance for taking the time to read here and open your mind. I truly hope that my comments and opinions can be a light in the dark for you.

Thanks,

Dave
